Deviation Actions
My photos are admittedly and unchangeably junk. I'm not a photographer as far as being an artistic goes and won't get daily deviations or anything like that. However, I realized yesterday just how much I love snapping my photos and sharing them on Google Earth and with friends! I often go places where there are no photos showing what it looks like, and I can either hide my discoveries (great fishing ) or share them.
Photographs are ways of sharing my memories, especially since I often go places alone. I have family over, and friends online, and it's great to show them where I've been.
Last thought: have you ever been hiking in the middle of nowhere and had to help someone on a trail who has gotten a hook all the way through his thumb? Had to pull it out with needle-nose pliers? As of yesterday, I have! Very painful for the poor person, who very nearly fainted.

Mandatory Sabbatical
Folks,
As you know, I will be going "down South" to "make friends" for around two months, and in such a manner that I will not be allowed to converse with pretty girls on the phone, message people on facebook, or actually have any contact with the outside world...except by snail mail. I will get one phone call to give my mailing address and will have only about 60 seconds to convey that information.
If you would like (and I would appreciate it, as it will make the misery depart quicker), you can send me snail mail letters (letters only, no packages or anything else). I will have someone post my address on facebook when I release it, probab
Grateful
I have three people now who I've NEVER met but really like who have asked to be my pen pals while I'm going through boot camp. A fourth, who I have met (a nurse), sent me this text yesterday:
"Dude, you're such an inspiration. I am so glad I know you. Let's keep in touch! I'll write you during basic and tell you all the news!"
Is my life blessed or what!?! :D I'm so happy! I'm in the perfect career, I'm helping people every day (I don't think I could live a life just for myself anymore, though I used to be selfish), and people care about me and appreciate me. Boot camp is going to be tiring, irritating, and annoying, but at the same time, I

I haven't updated y'all on this ATC thing, so how about a blog???
My job as an air traffic controller is amazing. The education I receive is worth a ton, plus I get 100% free tuition for college, AND I get to wear a uniform and represent my country! Our ATC squadron is actually not a part of the 153rd Airlift Wing like the rest of the WY ANG, but is a separate entity (243rd ATCS) under Air Force Space Command in support of the 153rd. As such, ATC drills either quarterly or semi-annually. This means that air traffic controllers live wherever in the country they feel like, and because of th
My New Job and Updates
For those of you who don't know, I'm employed now as a trainee air traffic controller under the supervision of the United States Air Force Space Command. I had my first weekend with the Air Guard in Wyoming. It was definitely interesting. My superiors are in very good physical shape and so I got to experience how they became that way. Since I'm also in good physical shape it was no problem and I maxed out the pushup test by 33%.
What's most interesting is that this was my first drill weekend and I already got my orders for BMT and tech school for ATC. Most of the people in "student flight" are averaging 5 months of drills and still don't hav
